Nasrallah, Senior Hamas Official Discuss Gaza Developments, Ceasefire, Sending Aid

IQNA – Khalil al-Hayya, deputy chief of the Hamas political bureau, met with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah for talks on the situation in Gaza.

The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, Al-Ahed News reported.

They also talked about support for Gaza and way to send humanitarian aid to the coastal enclave.

Pursuing the negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza while ensuring the fulfilments of the conditions set by the resistance in line with serving the cause of Palestine and the Palestinian people were among other issues discussed at the meeting.

Since the Israeli regime launched a genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Hezbollah has frequently attacked the Zionists’ positions in the northern parts of occupied territories in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 31,045 people have been killed and 72,654 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza that started on October 7. About 72 percent of the victims are children and women.

More than five months of brutal Israeli attacks have also caused extreme hunger among the Gazans.

At least 25 people, most of them children, have died from malnutrition and dehydration in the Palestinian territory in recent days.

The regime has blocked the entry of food and aid supplies into Gaza draining its limited health services.
